Elliot and I decided on a last min trip to Wales, he endured the mega bus from London to Sheffield where I picked him up in my VW T5 before cruising over to Snowdonia National Park in wales. Windy was an understatement, trying to cook dinner out the back of the van in a carpark in the dark was a bit of a task. Sunrise wasn't looking so good so we decided to hike snowdon and aim for the summit for sunset. 50mph gusts and (feels like) -20*C temperatures made the climb pretty brutal along with the snow and ice, glad we brought our crampons) Unfortunatly there wasn't much break in the clouds and we got no light however it was the first time either of had done this hike so it wasn't a waste of time. A fun day out hiking / mountaineering with the bonus of a few snaps on the way up Blue hour on the way down before finishing the decent with head tourch light. we were glad to get back down for around 7pm before warming up and drying out our equipment in a local pub by the fire.
